Head Teacher’s Message

Welcome to Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Eirwg.

It is an honour and a privilege to be the head teacher of Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Eirwg. Leading the school during a period of change, which includes a new curriculum, is an exciting challenge that we, who consider ourselves a part of the community of the school, are prepared to face. We are determined to succeed in order to raise standards and continue to improve the education of our learners.

There is strong evidence that we aim to create a happy, secure, developmental environment within a stimulating and encouraging Welsh ethos, where every member of the school community can grow in self respect and develop their potential as citizen. The annual self evaluation process confirms that the school has many strengths and that we are aware of the next step in order to meet the needs of all learners and prepare them for the twenty first century.

We are proud of our efforts to raise academic standards and of our success in sport, music and drama. But most of all, we are delighted that others acknowledge the special ethos in Bro Eirwg that allows every pupil, whatever academic ability or background, to be included in the host of experiences offered by our school.
